The not for profit campaign management team

Active Connections is a not for profit that creates campaigns that change peoples lives. Achieving your aims through innovative, digital and creative campaigns.

Social Media Marketing

Our aim is to help change peoples lives through digital campaigns and projects. We strive to support the public sector and third sector to deliver innovative and creative campaigns. Our profits support our Sport for Change projects, helping communities where we work.

We pride ourselves on being one of very few not for profit ‘organisations in this sector We did not start out in 2011 as a digital and social media agency, but have grown into one.  Having developed the skills to engage the disengaged, we developed strategies to reach people through innovative and creative campaigns. We have developed the skills to compete in a competitive arena on social media and the wider digital marketing landscape. Using our expertise we now work with clients from the public and third sectors to develop their social media presence and online digital campaigns. Our profits go into supporting our sport for change projects, which includes projects such as ActiveDads, GirlForce and Active Start.

Established in 2011 we pride ourselves to have worked with local, regional and national partners including Barnardos, Bristol City Council, NHS Bristol, University of Gloucestershire, StreetGames, Forestry Commission, NHS Gloucestershire, Active Gloucestershire and organisations from the voluntary and private sectors.

Our Sport for Change projects have won the Community project of the Year at Heart of Gloucestershire awards, nominated for Project of the Year at the StreetGames National awards in 2016, received the award for Engaging Women and Girls award at the StreetGames National Awards in 2018.

During the journey of Active Connections we have developed a number of commercial brands. These have grown and have contributed to the overall growth of Active Connections. Providing income from their profits to help keep projects going when funding is scarce. This additional income also means we can offer smaller charities a range fo services within their budgets. These include Ministry of Running Ltd, Glow Sports and Social Message Ltd. Active Connections business support team manages the day to day operations of these businesses and provide social media support.

Our Funders and Partners

Our work would not be possible without the support of funders and partners.

Some Firsts

We were not born an agency but we have evolved into one. It has been a process that has allowed us to learn through experience and evaluating the smallest detail. With the experience of working both with clients and beneficiaries daily, we have grown with the knowledge of how to reach the unreachable and engage the unengaged.
