ActiveDADS is s project that has been funded by various local and national partners. Starting in 2012 ActiveDADs was funded by Comic Relief. The project aims to help dads by creating a peer support network. Bringing together dads through sport and play to share their thoughts, issues and experiences.

What We Do
We offer weekly and monthly drop in sessions catering for dads (all male carers) with children aged 2-11yrs. The ActiveDADs team strive offer an environment and atmosphere that dads feel safe and comfortable to attend. We offer a wide range of activities including sport, art and music. Our ActiveDADs team help foster an environment where dads can share their issues, experiences and worries. We hope that they will find support in our groups. if not we have develop signposting pathways to more formal support.
ActiveDADs also sit on a number of steering and working groups in the county advising and supporting the development of services to help male carers.
ActiveDADs over the last five years have developed a number of partnerships.These partnerships have allowed us to grow our programme and ensure we are reaching as many beneficiaries as possible.
